Although Dr. Plischke wanted to be a veterinarian as a child, she switched to Chemistry in college. After four years of college, four years of graduate school and two years of tutoring chemistry she decided to go back to her first love, veterinary medicine. So this was two more years of university and 4 years of veterinary school but she finally got it right. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. She was a partner at Burnaby Veterinary Hospital for 19 years, and has been at the North Shore Veterinary Clinic for over 17 years. Her husband keeps her from adopting every stray she sees so she currently has two golden retrievers, Remi and Levi, and two abyssinian cats, Mirium and Corri. |
